Why Small Wood Houses Make so much Sense
- Obviously a small house is proportionally less expensive to build.
- Lower mortgage means more quality time.
- Cheaper to heat and cool.
- Less lumber means more trees left standing.
A first time home builder is much more likely to take on a 600 sq.ft. home as opposed to a 2500 sq.ft average N. American home. Here are some photos of small houses I have designed and built. All of the lumber was milled on a small portable sawmill.
